He`s been incredible all year. From the latter part of spring training on, he`s been a machine. I`ve never seen a guy with as limited number of at-bats put up the numbers he`s been putting up, with consistency and in key situations.
I`ve always felt like it was important to be involved in the community, ... Over the years it has evolved as we`ve met different people and experienced things.
That`s how all these kids are,
I always expected to finish out my contract with the Dodgers and hopefully finish my career in L.A. It`s pretty obvious now the team is starting to go in a different direction. If that`s the case, then I won`t stand in the way as long as it works out for me as well.
This was crucial. Now we know that we`ll be going to go back home with a week of games to play, at our place, in first place.
It`s nice that it worked out. But the decision would have worked out for me regardless of what happened.
It doesn`t matter. I was willing to trade him an autograph or two, but it`s not like it`s going to be going for $1 million on eBay.
The stuff he was throwing tonight was as good as you`re going to see in this league.
Those things have really been put on the back burner of everybody`s mind in dealing with the referendum. We`re going to get financial things squared away and get back to the business of education.
It`s always good to be back and playing, but at the same time, my wife, she`s got her hands full and I can`t help her. It`s a big transition.
