I thought my first pole would be somewhere else. There are a lot of good drivers here this weekend -- 10 Winston Cup drivers and all the Busch regular drivers. To sit on the pole and be in front of the field Saturday is a big accomplishment for this team.

I just got into the corner and got on the gas to try and have good speed when I got to the start/finish and the car started going up a little bit and spun around. We just missed it a little bit. It was a good lap, we ran about the same as we did in practice. We practiced a lot of race setups. I think we have a top-five race car.
