We just have to go after our game plan,
I was glad I could help. Just lift their spirits a little bit. ... It was tough just to see your hometown, to see areas that you remember playing baseball in and growing up around and seeing it under water -- just seeing people walking the streets.
I felt good today,
I`m looking forward to getting some reps and going out there and competing.
I think everybody knows what to expect from Coach Coughlin, ... The five minutes early, that`s just part of it. Now you know how it is. No one talks about it any more . . . . That`s just the way it is. There are no ifs, ands or buts about it. Everybody knows we`ve got to get better. We need some discipline to be a better team than we were last year.
I`m not a screamer or yeller. If I would try to scream and yell at people, it`s not what I`d naturally do. So if I tried to do that, it would be awkward, I think.
I felt fine. I wanted to take all the snaps, but he took me out and I don`t argue with the head man about that. But I was making all the throws. I threw some deep ones that actually had too much on them. I have to work on the timing on some of those things, but it felt good throwing.
They`re going to expect me to go out there and play better to win games, and I expect that from myself, ... There`s no reason for me not to go out there and play at a high level.
They`re good pals of mine that I can talk to when I have questions. We`re together a lot during the day. When we study questions come up and we think things through and talk about them together. We think up situations in our head - `if this happens, what do you do?` If the coaches aren`t with us we can think about it and everybody throws in their ideas. We get good work out of it.
I never try to be something I`m not,
