Derek Brewer Quotes

Derek Brewer

No one had seen anything like it; every time England took another Australian wicket, the switchboard lit up like a Christmas tree. By the end of the day another 7,000 had been sold.

I don`t think people want the image of an unfair playing surface. I think that is the administration`s issue. We all want to be at home, we want to be at our house, but if this keeps everyone happy, then we`re happy.

The kids are excited and feel good about it. It`s allowing them to move forward a little more confidently.

We`re very humble in that respect. Our kids do not have a sense of invincibility. We`re mortal, and we`ve kept it like that. And it`s helped us out.

That is kind of funny. It is kind of like going to the grocery store and having the register say $20 even.

This league is very even. That`s why I tell the kids to only think about one game at a time.
