When you realize you`re alive, you can live life!

I feel like I took a lot of the things; I did what I had to do to get to where I want to be, and I'm going to continue to do what I do to get to where I want to be. I take an ideal like Sean Penn's career. I think Sean Penn's the epitome of what every actor could and should want to be. He just is. He's incredible.

Chad: You know what? Look. I'm going to work as hard as I gotta do. I only work as much as I can right now, on projects that I want to work on. If there's not something next summer that I'm going to do, then yeah, I'll take a break. But right now I'm young and I'm having a lot of fun doing what I'm doing and I'm growing. I have a lot to learn and I just want to be able to learn as much as I can, day in, day out. Those are the flags.

Chad: Cinderella Story, what are you going to do, go back and watch Cinderella? I mean, really. There's no mice. What can I say? House of Wax, I went back and watched the 1953 version with Vincent Price. I just thought it was eerie. But that was in choosing if I wanted to do it or not. I wanted to see what kind of feeling I got and it was eerie. There's just something really creepy about wax.

Chad: I want to go to Supernatural. All my boys are over there, and they get to have fun all the time. Cross me over there. Let me kill some ghosts

Chad: James is unbelievable. He's played basketball his whole life; he's incredibly talented at the sport. For myself, I just can't do it. I've got better ball control now, but I just can't get the ball in the hoop.

Chad: It's not bad to sit down and have a drink occasionally. I'm not saying don't drink period. Everything in moderation.

Chad: Let's see... Number one, I had no friends. I was a nerd. I guess I've become more secure with who I am. I always felt like I was a box. I wasn't like the other people. I didn't wear the same clothes because I couldn't afford them. I always liked what I liked and I never understood why that wasn't accepted. Now, I realize it doesn't matter if I am accepted. I am who I am and I like who I am. I like what I wear. And I like that I don't have to get loaded to have fun.

I grew up and I saw a lot of people lose their lives or fall into a bad place. It really bothered me because I cared for some of those people. I would like to see everyone have a fair shot. I didn't do it. I didn't drink or do drugs. I had the opportunity to give myself a better life and try to be happy

Chad: (What sorts of roles have been coming your way?) A lot of the Fast & Furious type of movies. That's sort of what's hot right now--the motorcycle, crazy racing thing. Don't get me wrong, I love watching those types of movies. I thought Fast & Furious was cool, but my favorite kind of film is... like Taxi Driver. I love the character Robert DeNiro played. It was brilliant. I want the chance to create a... what's the word I'm looking for... crazy character. A complex character. When you show up and play a one dimensional character, it feels too easy.

Chad: Golly, I hated high school. I absolutely detested high school

When I did Freaky Friday, Lindsay was playing two characters, so she had a lot of work to do. She had to study Jamie really hard and Jamie had to study her. On Cinderella Story, Hilary got to come in and she just had to study what it’s like to be a little insecure and she hasn’t had that opportunity, I don't think. So she got to see what it was like to be not the cool chick. So, I don't know. You have to see it to know what I mean. That’s the one perk that we get as actors is you get to really see how these people work, but you can’t really explain it.

Chad: I played football, so during the season I got respect, but that disappeared the second football was over. I was picked on because I wasn't like everyone else.

Chad: I had to sing Britney's '...Baby One More Time' for Freaky Friday, and I'm not a singer. There I was in this L.A. neighborhood, singing. All the neighbors came out to watch.

Chad: Trust me, high school ends. You graduate and get away from all the people you never want to see again--it's all good.

Chad: (on what projects he wants to do in the future) ...something that may skew a little bit away from the demographic that I've been catering to for the last few years... something that I feel just betters me as a human being.

Chad: When you realize you're alive, you can live life!

Chad: Imagine you are walking along and you trip over something and you turn around and find that it is a huge diamond. You would pick it up and do everything in your power to take care of that diamond because it might take care of you for the rest of your life.
