Already, this has been an incredible season. This is the most wins I`ve ever had playing on any WNBA team. My kids start kindergarten, actually in a few weeks. So it`s all about them now. It`s their time now.

The sport is still growing and there`s only upside for female fighters. The examples of the LPGA, the women`s tennis tour and the WNBA indicate that the time is right for women in the sports world. Female boxers don`t have the benefit of a tie-in with the male sport like the tennis tour, which plays at the same major tournament venues as the men, and certainly not like the WNBA, which is directly subsidized by the NBA. But, there`s no question in my mind, this is the time for women in the ring.

It`s going to be an exciting team. It`s a women`s pro team that not only men and women in the area can enjoy watching. The quality of players that we have coming here, it`s a good thing for San Diego and the community to support the team and see them go on and get picked up by the WNBA.

There`s lots of charity stuff that I can do. There are actually a million things to do here, but it would be very hard for me to stop going overseas, because I`ve been doing that for longer than I`ve been playing in the WNBA.

There`s a lot of room to grow, and the women who believe they`re worth it are the ones who are going to make good things happen during the next period of WNBA growth.

This is another great day in the history of Storm basketball, ...
