Werewolf Quotes

I quit a year and a half ago and I turned into a werewolf. I went nuts. I`ve been smoking since I was in junior high school. I did a couple of episodes of The West Wing two years ago and I was in the middle of one of these psycho things and turned around and smacked the stage door as hard as I could and my fist immediately swelled up. Thank God I didn`t break anything, but that was the last episode I had of nicotine withdrawal. (on quitting smoking in 2003)

See American Werewolf (In London) is not a comedy. People keep calling it a comedy, it`s very funny I hope, but it is a horror film. We meet these guys in a truckload of sheep. This is not subtle. I mean these boys are dead by the end of the movie. That`s not really a happy tale.

I grew up watching sci-fi and monster movies like I Was a Teenage Werewolf (1957) and all those creepy old Vincent Price horror movies. They made a huge impression on me and I think that`s what Independence Day (1996) is going to do for a whole generation of youngsters. It`s going to be their favorite nightmare.

So I`m not really quite sure what Landis` plans were to make another one. The American Werewolf in Paris was a completely separate story.

Clearly any film company that makes a film is always going to talk about sequels particularly if they see something as being successful, which Werewolf was.

In truth I don`t think when Landis wrote An American Werewolf he ever wrote it in terms as having an ongoing story, he wrote it as a complete piece.

I think we all have to fight the werewolf within us somehow.

Jacob`s angry werewolf side is not like me in real life; I`m like Jacob`s Native American side. I`m very friendly, outgoing, energetic and easy to talk to. But playing the werewolf side, where he`s holding all this anger and stuff inside him, that`d be very different for me. I love to challenge myself as an actor
