One of the most incredible moments I`ve ever had was sitting in Vincent`s trailer . . . I was showing him this first-edition book I have of the complete works of (Edgar Allan Poe), with really amazing illustrations. Vincent was going nuts over the drawings, and he started talking about The Tomb of Ligeia (1964). Then he closed the book and began to recite it to me in this beautiful voice, filling the room with huge sounds. Such passion! I looked in the book later, and it was verbatim. Word perfect. It was a great moment. I`ll never forget that.
- Johnny Depp"I`ve read that Alice Cooper created this thing that was Alice Cooper, so onstage he`s Alice Cooper, but if he`s going to buy a car, he`s Vincent Furnier - the other guy! Last year, I was thinking, "Man, that`s pretty clever, if you could sub-divide into two separate entities…" But… it`s me, you know?!"
- Izzy Stradlin"Vincent was so incredible, so sweet. When we went to Cannes for the film, you know the moment when I come out from the tunnel and we see me for the first time completely with blood all over, he was crying. I said, `Vincent, come on. It`s just a movie. We know it`s not real." (on her husband`s support when Irréversible (2002) was released).
- Monica BellucciI once wrote a horror screenplay for my friend Vincent to make when he was in high school that was close to Bergman`s The Seventh Seal". Very psychological horror stuff. Alot of the religious elements in the script ended up in Dogma.
- Kevin Smith"I worked with Jimmy DeBello and Vincent Kartheiser, and their real names are the same names they use in the movie. So, when we would all be filming a scene, sometimes they would call me Monica instead of my character`s name and we would have to do the whole scene over. "
- Monica KeenaI worked with Jimmy DeBello and Vincent Kartheiser, and their real names are the same names they use in the movie. So, when we would all be filming a scene, sometimes they would call me Monica instead of my character`s name, Roseanne. We would have to do the whole scene over.
- Monica Keena"I had read the script, really liked it and was very impressed with Rob at our first meeting,I`m also really good friends with Vincent Kartheiser, who plays Vincent, and we had talked about how great it would be to work together. It`s the first role I think I`ve ever been offered, so it was nice."
- Monica Keena(on his role as the hit man in Collateral (2004)) I`ve never played a character like this before. Vincent interested me because he is such an anti-social personality, bringing destruction and chaos with him wherever he goes. He`s a force of nature.
- Tom Cruise(On the film Sharky`s Machine (1981)): Author Sidney Sheldon first mentioned William Diehl`s novel Sharky`s Machine to me at a party. Soon afterward Clint Eastwood sent me a copy of the same best-selling book with a note saying: "This is Dirty Harry in Atlanta!" Discovering it combined elements of two of my favorite movies, Laura (1944) and Rear Window (1954), I persuaded newly formed partners Orion Pictures and Warner Brothers to acquire the screen rights for me. The kind of film Robert Aldrich would`ve been great at, I knew from the get-go I had to direct. Granted complete creative control, for me only the third time this had happened, I assembled my cast. The film had one of the best crews I`ve ever worked with. Let me just say this about Charles Durning. He may be America`s finest working actor today. Right down to the soundtrack, a jazz fiend, I called my own list of all-stars. The picture opened at the end of the year to critical reviews that were beyond my expectations. But when even the New York Time`s Vincent Canby also got it, I was bowled over. The reviews made me a hot director.
- Burt Reynolds(On Vincent Price and Peter Cushing) They were both grand masters, of their art but more importantly as human beings...wonderful people, wonderful actors and I miss them very very much.
- Christopher LeeI grew up watching sci-fi and monster movies like I Was a Teenage Werewolf (1957) and all those creepy old Vincent Price horror movies. They made a huge impression on me and I think that`s what Independence Day (1996) is going to do for a whole generation of youngsters. It`s going to be their favorite nightmare.
- Jeff GoldblumOne of the most incredible moments I`ve ever had was sitting in Vincent (Price)`s trailer... I was showing him this first-edition book I have of the complete works of Poe, with really amazing illustrations. Vincent was going nuts over the drawings, and he started talking about `The Tomb of Ligeia.` Then he closed the book and began to recite it to me in this beautiful voice, filling the room with huge sounds. Such passion! I looked in the book later, and it was verbatim. Word perfect. It was a great moment. I`ll never forget that.
- Johnny DeppShe needs furniture, clothing, everything, and it`s just not available down there. St. Vincent de Paul is helping with clothes, but she needs everything. She`s been staying in her car.
- Jim JohnstonNot many expected us to be this good this year after losing Matt Hanley and Jeff Vincent to graduation. People didn`t know who we were, and we were running under the radar. We`re playing well, and people are starting to take notice.
- Matt Hill(on Vincent Price) He always loved a good joke. Moreover, he was kind enough to laugh at jokes that weren`t so good.
- Bob Hope(Tim Burton`s Vincent (1982)) was immortality - better than a star on Hollywood Boulevard.
- Vincent PriceThen I abandoned comics for fine art because I had some romantic vision of being like Vincent Van Gogh Jr.
