Even today I meet people who think of me automatically as a tough, insensitive, coarse guy named Stanley Kowalski. They can`t help it, but, it is troubling.
- Marlon BrandoWhen something is troubling me, people know about it.
- Rachael Leigh CookThere`s a lot of reasons you can think of to say why you act, but I can only say that it just felt good. At the same time, it felt really painful. It`s still troubling and stressful to me.
- Skeet Ulrich(The loss to Brewster was particularly troubling. Afterward, the Klitschko camp claimed that their fighter had been drugged. Brewster took a contrary view.) Wladimir Klitschko is a great athlete, ... But Wladimir Klitschko is not a great fighter. There`s a difference.
- Lamon BrewsterWhile everyone agrees on the need for aggressive deterrence of terrorism, the disclosure of unchecked domestic spying by the president is deeply troubling to many Americans.
- Michael GrecoIt worries me a little bit the reach and power of TV. More people saw me in "The Practice" (1997) than will ever see me in all the stage plays I ever do. Which is sort of humbling. Or troubling. Or both.
- Michael EmersonIt is the technical part of the performance which is troubling me more than the musical part.
- Zubin MehtaWe know that rape has traditionally been an underreported crime, ... but whether the number of actual rapes has increased or the number of reported rapes has increased, this trend is troubling.

- Adam Schiffbut charges like these are troubling.
- Paul BishopWhat`s troubling is that because the camera is 3D, the northern part of the screen isn`t necessarily north anymore. So the jungle transforms into the true meaning of a jungle. For someone with no sense of direction like myself, I get lost in the caves every time.
- Hideo KojimaThe troubling thing is the court has approved a federal system that forces taxpayers to subsidize religious indoctrination.
- Michael SimpsonWhat`s troubling is that the Republicans to defend Mr. DeLay are weakening the ethics process.

- Ali AllawiOne could not pluck a flower without troubling a star.
- Alph BinghamThey have been counted properly, ... And we don`t need to go back to all that old thing. You know what? This election was held on its proper day and counted properly and, you know, frankly, to go back now and try to undermine the legitimacy of this election is very troubling.
- Arlene Blosch(So, would he do it again, if asked?) Yes, ... It was the most troubling thing I have ever encountered, but it was an honor to go.
- Ashwell PrinceWhat I dream of is an art of balance, of purity and serenity devoid of troubling or depressing subject matter - a soothing, calming influence on the mind, rather like a good armchair which provides relaxation from physical fatigue.
- Henri MatisseWhat I dream of is an art of balance, of purity and serenity devoid of troubling or depressing subject matter - a soothing, calming influence on the mind, rather like a good armchair which provides relaxation from physical fatigue.
- Henri MatisseThis is a deeply uncanny and very troubling development, it exists, and it wants to take us back. It wants to take us, I mean, way back. I mean sure, they want to go back before the 70's and the 60's to the 50's, no doubt about that. They also want to go back before the New Deal to the 20's, well they also want to go back before the Progressive Era to the Gilded Age. Well, not quite, they also want to go back before the Emancipation Proclamation to the days of slavery, not even, what they want to do is take us back to a moment prior to the Enlightenment; they want to take us back to a moment when faith registered more than reason. They want to take us back to an imaginary age of absolute moral clarity, when good was good and evil was evil and everyone could see the difference. They want to take us back to an imaginary Manichean age when you're either with us or against us, which means you either are us or we'll exterminate you because we can only tolerate ourselves, we can only tolerate those who share our values. If this movement were to be given a name, I think it would most appropriate to call it Christo-Fascism, and if anyone objects to my using the word fascism, because it seems so redolent of the Axis powers, and after all we valiantly defeated fascism once, well understand this about fascism, when it arrives it never shows up in the discarded costume of some other country, and when fascism comes here, its not going to be wearing a toothbrush mustache with a luger in his belt and go goose-stepping around the mall, because that's Germany. And its precisely characteristic of fascism, that it seems absolutely, totally expressive of the homeland, it seems completely familiar, it's when 150% America puts a flag on it's lapel and a cross around it's neck and a real folksy way a talkin', but just because it's red, white and blue, doesn't mean it's American.
