There are no environmental myths to rebut in this debate, ... The overwhelming opposition to this project is coming from informed citizens and public officials who, with eyes wide open, understand that LNG in Fall River threatens the Taunton River, Mount Hope Bay and Narragansett Bay.
- Jane Austin(Taunton wondered if the council should ask the city parks committee for its recommendation.) The last fundraiser for the scenic land acquisitions did well, ... People supported it and we do have the STC monies. If we could bring in $10,000 from a fundraiser, that would be good.
