Stoked Quotes

I`m not really an exhibitionist. I`m drawn to the outrageous stuff because it`s fun, not because it`s some deep compulsion. I`m no tortured, anger-stoked, deeply neurotic comic. Just a pretty low-key normal guy. A, "Hey, the glass is half-full", kind of a guy. But please keep it quiet, or I may never work again.

I learned the songs and played the gigs, and then they called me about a month later. They told me they were like super stoked on me and asked me to join their band.

(In the meantime, the recent 98 Degrees reunion stoked the group`s interest in getting back in the studio, which the guys plan to do soon.) Nick and Jeff (Timmons) have studios in L.A., so we`re going to get together and start writing and working on our next project, ... Everyone is ready to come together and it`s taken this long, so we`re in no hurry to drop something before we feel like we have things the way we want them.

That song, for me, is about drugs and alcohol and loss and love. It`s about being proud of who you are, being proud of your situation and just being stoked that things are always going to get better or always gonna get worse and that`s such a great thing. Every day is a new surprise.

It`s kind of cool that we`ve quietly been selling a million albums. We knew (the album) wasn`t going to debut at No. 1. I`m stoked to see us being successful again.

It`s been three years in the making for this night and I couldn`t be happier. I`m so stoked.

When I did get hurt, it was crazy to hear a doctor say that I might never ski again. It really made me take my rehab seriously and take everything more seriously. I couldn`t be more stoked.
