One guy asked me, `How can you be an actor and be a Republican?`. I can vote either way. But how can you boil it down to political affiliation? All the atrocities against blacks in the South were committed by Democratic sheriffs.

LA`s crazy. When I was younger and watched The Beverly Hillbillies Or Beverly Hills 90210, I used to think it was so far from the `hood. We can`t do much about ensuring that the homeland is safe if our local police and sheriffs` departments don`t have the personnel they need to keep our streets and neighborhoods secure.

The border sheriffs are locally elected. They`re accountable. They know the territory and the people. And they can respond the most quickly to what is a real national security emergency, because the border is unprotected.

Give the sheriffs and our border patrol and law enforcement the money and troops they need to get out there and enforce law and order.

The sheriffs are completely outnumbered and outgunned. And we don`t have enough border patrol agents.

Don`t ever give up on your kids. And do not be afraid to confront them - I can`t tell you how many times we get calls by parents who want us to do something about their kids, but don`t want their kids to know they called (the sheriffs).
