I`m such a supporter of women, work-related. I`m happy for my wife and I`m ecstatic that she makes more than most men in Hollywood. The first writer I hired for a movie I`m producing was a black woman. She did an amazing job. It`s like I just think that seeing women get passed over, being so intimately involved with so many women throughout my life - my sisters, my mother and that sort of thing - it`s shaped me and given me a sensitivity and understanding that I don`t think a lot of men necessarily have.

- Ryan Phillippe

I don`t like the wimp syndrome. No matter how ardent a feminist may be, if she is a heterosexual female, she wants the strength of a male companion as well as the sensitivity. The most gentle people in the world are macho males, people who are confident in their masculinity and have a feeling of well-being in themselves. They don`t have to kick in doors, mistreat women, or make fun of gays.

- Joni Mitchell

Too often a story is examined through biased eyes, without a sensitivity for everyone who forged it. It`s seen from the point of view of the great white savior, and rarely is the perspective of the slave a part.

- Jeffrey Wright

My biggest weakness is my sensitivity. I am too sensitive a person.

- Mike Tyson

In the political climate, this whole political correctness thing bugs me like mad. I was so upset when they said they were going to call the lights in London winter lights. I`m saying, "Hello, I`ve got friends who are Asian, I wish them Happy Diwali, they wish me Happy Christmas". In fact, they enjoy Christmas. And when I`ve been there and there`s Diwali going on I`ve enjoyed that, too, to be honest with you. I`m not so sure why they`re so upset about the sensitivity of other religions who actually don`t mind that we celebrate Christmas. Even in schools now I keep reading about how Christianity isn`t necessarily taught anymore. I`m thinking, "Wait a minute. If I went to live in another country and it had a different faith and philosophy and I joined in there . . . If I was a kid and went to school, I would have to learn what they learn as well".

- Cliff Richard

- Laurence Olivier

I`ve got big shoes to fill. Sarah Brown was awesome. I loved watching her play the role. Tamara Braun brought amazing emotion and sensitivity to the role. I think she really did a great job. She was a little tougher than Sarah, but soft, too. I`m hoping to be somewhere down the middle.

- Laura Wright

I want to show that from the negative, when you dare to see it, the positive is born, because there is the root to the good. I have inside myself, for example, a sharp aggression. But if you remove it, I loose my creativity. I have a great insecurity, but if you remove it, I also lose my sensitivity. Good theater is the theater that can make it a little attractive, a bit cool, to have these dark inner depths. You must be a bit afraid of them. I have a big need of spending time being alone, just to fear these dark sides. We must have secrets. That`s why I almost never agree, or rarely, to really personal interviews: you must have large pools, untouched inside yourself. (on acting, theater and her interest in playing dark women roles on stage and in films)

- Lena Olin

(On Heath Ledger after his death): He had an uncontrollable energy. He buzzed. He would jump out of bed. For as long as I`d known him, he had bouts with insomnia. He just had too much energy. His mind was turning, turning, turning - always turning. He had a talent for everything that he put his mind to. He didn`t know limits. I think that the interesting thing about Heath, which maybe people have only really fully discovered in his death, his how vulnerable he was. You can pick up on it in his performances, but it`s easy to overlook because he was so physical and beautiful and strong and masculine. But there was always that underlying sensitivity. That`s who he was.

- Michelle Williams
