Live Aid (1985) (TV) was pretty shambolic. We came together and rehearsed with a drummer we`d never met before and then we were joined by Phil Collins, who we`d never played with before, on this great Live Aid (1985) (TV) stage. We went there with the spirit of it, but actually it was pretty shambolic.
- Jimmy PagePeople used to think we just faked all that stuff... it was all written, rehearsed. The fact that it looks as cobbled together as it does is just that we weren`t very good.
- Terry Gilliam(Country-pop recording artist Trisha Yearwood is Lockhart`s guest soloist for the show.) The Fourth concert can be an unparalleled opportunity for a soloist ... but it can also be a little nerve-wracking for them. This program goes together in a heartbeat. It`s rehearsed quickly and then -- it`s on live television.
- Keith LockhartI love to be in the position of not knowing what I`m gonna do, but having rehearsed all of those so when something happens with the others actors I go with whatever that is I`m getting.
- Wayne RogersWith Harry, I am always in control of the expressions and the performance. With the Predator it is half performance and half dealing with the physical traps. There`s a balance you got to keep inside the suit. You`ve got to keep your character going while dealing with the fact that you`ve got all these wires and FX things coming out of you. It all boils down to concentration and being well-rehearsed.
- Kevin Peter HallThe Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988) was about the only time I`ve been allowed to do what I want with a part. You can be over-directed by people, but Terry (Terry Gilliam) let me have my own way. There was a scene we rehearsed on Saturday where we really hit our stride. When we resumed, Terry said on the Sunday, "You seemed to be having much more fun with the character yesterday. Could you take it a bit further?" I didn`t need to be told twice! Once I realized I could get away with it, off I went!
- Oliver ReedIt`s just that, when the orchestra look at me, I want them to see a completely involved person who reflects what we rehearsed, and whose function is to make it possible for them to do it.
