When people say a John Wayne picture got bad reviews, I always wonder if they know it`s a redundant sentence, but hell, I don`t care. People like my pictures and that`s all that counts.
- John Wayne"It`s strange to explain off camera what you have done in this or that scene. How redundant, like an artist explaining his painting. As much as I like watching movies I`ve been in, I can`t watch myself in interviews. People shouldn`t know how we do it."
- Ewan McGregorThere is such a thing as too much fun. It gets redundant. How many times can you wake up and struggle to remember your name, her name and where you are?
- Charlie SheenI have been made redundant before and it is a terrible blow; redundant is a rotten word because it makes you think you are useless.
- Billy ConnollyI was always cutting dialogue out when we were rehearsing, and when I produced movies, too. I felt that people don`t say things in life - they act, they do things. I always wanted my characters doing, rather than saying what they were doing - which was redundant.
- Donna MillsNick plays a corrupt politician, which is kind of a redundant statement.
- Alan Rudolph(at the Coolidge Award ceremony in 2006 for Meryl Streep) I was redundant! Meryl Streep doesn`t need a director. She`s kind to them; she`s really nice. She`ll compliment you, and say, "That was good - what you did." I was so happy the next day to get on the stage with a lot of other actors. I didn`t have to be just . . . whelmed by Miss Streep. Anyway, Meryl - I`ll get over this. In spite of the personal sadness I got from working with you, I`m glad I did.
- Robert AltmanBy eliminating redundant and outdated programs, while focusing on those that work we can save taxpayers money and provided better service.
- Tim MurphyYou probably have to have redundant levee systems with canals in between them, like the Dutch have, to make sure that incoming water is channeled off to areas where you deal with it rather than have it drown you.
- Al Thornton
