On how he got the role of Captain Jonathan Archer: "Kerry McCluggage and Garry Hart were both at Universal when I did Quantum Leap. We had a long and very good relationship. My production company was already at Paramount when they approached me. I was excited, but wanted to meet Rick Berman and Brannon (Braga) and read the pilot script. Once I read that and met with the guys it was kind of a no-brainer in terms of a role to play, a place to work, with great collaborators, and it would keep me at home for the next few years." - Scott BakulaWell, I`ve always thought that my career was in England, really. I used to do more in the theatre, and I felt that I should be there. It`s not far is it? It`s amazing the way that special FX have taken a quantum leap in what they`re capable of doing.
- Albert FinneyBut to do it professionally is a quantum leap difference and my father had to be persuaded by these kind of Ivy League professors that I should go to the Yale Drama School, another one of the stories in there.
- Robert KleinIt is often stated that of all the theories proposed in this century, the silliest is quantum theory. In fact, some say that the only thing that quantum theory has going for it is that it is unquestionably correct.
- Michio KakuDoing is a quantum leap from imagining.
- Al JoaquinIn relativity, movement is continuous, causally determinate and well defined, while in quantum mechanics it is discontinuous, not causally determinate and not well defined.
- Alan ReiterQuantum computation is... a distinctively new way of harnessing nature... It will be the first technology that allows useful tasks to be performed in collaboration between parallel universes.
- Alan RotatoriIf you start any large theory, such as quantum mechanics, plate tectonics, evolution, it takes about 40 years for mainstream science to come around. Gaia has been going for only 30 years or so.
- Alfred Russel WallaceI mean, we`re really making a quantum change in our relationship to the plant world with genetic modification.
- Amanda ZimmermanThe scientists often have more unfettered imaginations than current philosophers do. Relativity theory came as a complete surprise to philosophers, and so did quantum mechanics, and so did other things.
- André GlucksmannErwin Schrodinger has explained how he and his fellow physicists had agreed that they would report their new discoveries and experiments in quantum physics in the language of Newtonian physics. That is, they agreed to discuss and report the non-visua
