Tire debris and wheel shrapnel resulted in damage to the No. 2 engine, puncture of three fuel tanks, and severance of several hydraulic lines and electrical wires. Additionally, a large hole was torn in the top wing skin which covers the wheel well area.

It`s a real pity we had that puncture. The fight with Dani was fantastic. But I`m not sure that we could have conquered the first place. To finish second here is for me a great result on my first outing in Germany !

I was dreaming of another win despite not feeling well and the pressure Kris put on us all week end. I'm also really happy to offer C2 its fourth victory of the season. We lost the lead but it`s OK. There`s still a long way to go. We didn`t get a puncture like on Wednesday and I`ll be starting in the lead group on the next stage. So navigating will be a bit easier.

We started out as if we were on a qualifying lap but got a puncture near the end.
