We`re all on a journey. The average American switches professions four times. I`m lucky to be in a business where I can change the character I am playing every couple of months.
- Josh Hartnett"I thought I was going to go to college and pick one of the more reputable professions and be an upright citizen. All of that seems like so much nonsense now. I guess it doesn`t do to well to envision these projected scenarios of the future. What happens in just about every case is you fall into whatever you fall into. The next thing you know, you`re looking back in retrospect at what it is you`ve now been doing for the last how many years."
- Art GarfunkelActing and music are self indulgent professions and they are a luxury unless you love what you do. I have a love/hate relationship with what I do. He cannot bury his mistakes in the grave like the doctors. He cannot argue them into thin air or blame the judge like the lawyers. He cannot, like the architects, cover his failures with trees and vines. He cannot, like the politicians, screen his sort-comings by blaming his opponents and hope the people will forget. The engineer simply cannot deny he did it. If his works do not work, he is damned.

- Alister HardyThe practice of patience toward one another, the overlooking of one another`s defects, and the bearing of one another`s burdens is the most elementary condition of all human and social activity in the family, in the professions, and in society.
