If you go to Hollywood, you`ve already sold out. By the sheer act of going there, you`re saying, `I need to go there because this is the only way I can get my movie made.` Baloney! Indiana`s the place to make your movie. Pontiac, Michigan. Whatever. Then you`re just making it on the merits of the movie. You don`t have to have any discussions about what`s hip now. Who can we get to do the soundtrack? You can actually put a score to your movie instead of a soundtrack. I get this thing all the time. Filmmakers go, `Can I send you a script? You`ll read it and attach yourself and we`ll package it.` Why can`t you get the money based on nothing, just the script? This whole packaging thing is out of control. Then you get absurd casting because it`s all packaged by the same talent agency. The sensibility is so bizarre.

I`m looking forward to seeing how things really are going to expand. The jazz festival was competing with Arts, Beats & Eats in Pontiac, and losing some audience, but this ought to do it.

This is awesome, ... It`s been a long road for the GTO to get up on the pole position. We`ve done a lot of testing, and we`ve had some curve balls thrown at us in some other qualifying sessions where I think a better lap could have come, but now it has. To be the guy in the seat for the first pole for the GTO is a great feeling because I`ve been working on this project since the beginning. Pontiac has put up a huge effort. Jan got the first win and I got the first pole. I think the car will be good tomorrow.

This race also marks our second of three races in which one of our cars will feature a special Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) paint scheme and synergistic `Energy to Care` logo, ... For this race, the special paint scheme will be on the #20 CITGO Pontiac Crawford that will be driven by Andy and Tony. I know that when I raced our last race proudly carrying the banner, it gave me extra incentive because it is for such a special cause. I`m sure it will energize Andy and Tony for this race as well.

I`m very happy to put the GAINSCO Pontiac Riley on the pole once again, ... We knew coming into qualifying, because of all the practice black flags, that I would need to go quick early on. It`s great to be starting up front, and the whole team has really been working hard to get us here.
