On fame: "I think I went insane. I was ridiculously paranoid because I had the most insufferably frustrating level of celebrity. It wasn`t at all anything I could get sympathy for. I wasn`t Kate Winslet. I was just a little TV girl but I felt people were staring at me. In Toronto, people would literally hit me and tell me to get them a muffin, and laugh". (This refers to the success she found on the TV show "The Newsroom" (1996), where her character`s boss was always sending her to find the right kind of muffin.)
- Tanya AllenI think George just nailed the whole thing, the whole time period, the whole look and feel of what that newsroom was like. I did a lot of research for the role and believe me, it`s all pretty genuine, down to the very last cigarette butt.
- David StrathairnFinally, I told them I`d drop out of the management program if they`d give me an entry-level job in the newsroom for union wages, about fifty dollars a week.
- Andrea MitchellThere`s a bit of Ron Burgundy in every newsroom.
- Martha MacCallumI am incredibly honored to lead this newsroom, ... Your readers are very lucky that they have a newspaper that delivers on their high expectations like this one does.
- Andy TafelskiTexas has a lot of good newspapers and it`s always gratifying to receive recognition from this group. I`m very proud of our winners, as well as all the other newsroom folks who work hard every day to put out our newspaper.
