Hee Haw was probably my biggest exposure to live music at a young age, because there wasn`t any live music around my town and no one in my family played instruments.

I just always remembered that, not that it pushed me to be a singer, but I don`t know why he said that. Hee Haw was a big part of my life, musically.

I was always very grateful to `em and am grateful to `em now. I went back a couple of years ago and did their 20th anniversary show. But the longer I stayed on Hee Haw, the worse things got for me musically.

Now I`m way into suits that I can put on whether I took a shower or not, and wear barefoot and paint my toes black or whatever color the suit is. It`s very cool to wear suits like that. Roll up the sleeves and just say yee-haw.
