I made a lot of mistakes when I was successful in the `70s. You know, there`s no handbook for success so I couldn`t make out what vibe I was picking up. But it`s called jealousy, envy and loathing, though they come at you with smiles because they want something from you. So you put on a front of arrogance to cover insecurity.

It`s a cliche, but there really is no handbook about the celebrity thing; you have to figure it out as you go along.

The entire handbook can be reduced to three rules. One: you do not touch your ball from the time you tee it up to the moment you pick it out of the hole. Two: don`t bend over when you are in the rough. Three: when you are in the woods, keep clapping your hands.
