Felons Quotes

I`ve always supported a certain amount of gun control. I think California has always had a mandatory waiting period, so we were never concerned about it like the rest of the country. Some states didn`t have any at all. So I`ve always supported that. I think it`s very important that guns don`t get in the wrong hands, and, yes, I would support most of that. I don`t know too much about trigger locks. I`ve never really discussed that with anyone. But I do feel that guns - it`s very important to keep them out of the hands of felons or anyone who might be crazy with it.

I feel safer in Johannesburg than in L.A. Violence comes out of the blue here. I`ve had friends who have been carjacked, all kinds of things. Successful felons, criminals love L.A. It`s so big, there`s so many freeways to get on after you do your score. Because of its possibilities, L.A.`s the most sorrowful city in the world.

We have one of our priests in prison right now, Steve Kelly, for his antiwar actions, and three of us in the community are forbidden to visit him because we`re all convicted felons.

Regardless of the nature of their crime or any rehabilitation that may have occurred, these ex-felons cannot participate in the decision-making process of this great Nation.

I categorically deny any allegations about incidents that supposedly occurred 24 years ago, as alleged by two convicted felons and about which I have no knowledge,

We`re going to see fugitives and felons, eventually, being able to get guns much more easily.

Emotional or ethical considerations aside, it doesn`t make good economic sense to turn 12 million people into felons and/or to send them all back to the countries they came from. At the end of the day, the U.S. does not presently have the financial resources to effectively enforce these kinds of measures, even if doing either could somehow be seen as the right thing to do.
