I used to be under the impression that in some kind of wanky, bullshit way, acting was like therapy: you get in and grapple with and exorcise all those demons inside of you. I don`t believe that anymore. It`s like a snow shaker. You shake the thing up, but it can`t escape the glass. It can`t get out. And it will settle until the next time you shake it up.
- Gary OldmanI`d much rather be in a comedy. In my view, comedy wins out in the long run. I`m not sure I`m a good enough actor to play real tragedy, so I bring a comic element to most things as my answer to the world`s problems. I`m not a clown, though. I love goofing around, but I don`t feel the need to act the clown in private - I do it at work, that`s where I exorcise my demons. Although I confess that I do sometimes put together outfits to annoy my wife.
- Will FerrellAs an actor, you want to keep your demons to some extent, but you also have to exorcise them so you can use them instead of them using you.
- Skeet UlrichA cup of coffee - real coffee - home-browned, home ground, home made, that comes to you dark as a hazel-eye, but changes to a golden bronze as you temper it with cream that never cheated, but was real cream from its birth, thick, tenderly yellow, perfectly sweet, neither lumpy nor frothing on the Java: such a cup of coffee is a match for twenty blue devils and will exorcise them all.
