As far as I`m concerned he is a far more intellectual writer and person than me, and I have a directness that maybe he hasn`t. I love this man and his music very much. Comparisons don`t do either of us any favors, and in fact if we hadn`t been in the same band for 4 years 30 years ago, no one would even think of making a comparison. (On Peter Gabriel)
