I went through several more interviews and then Cassie and I came home to Wimbledon. Then the call came: Would I return for a screen test? And it was, `My God, what have we done? What have we done? What are we going to do?` Panic, panic, panic. Don`t panic! We`ll go to America. We`ll take the kids to America. So Cass, the two kids and I hopped on a plane and went to America.

Honestly, I did it for the opportunity. I love what I do, but I don`t know if I was doing the character of Cassie justice anymore. When you start to feel like you want to be challenged in other areas, the light starts to dim a little.

We probably paid Cassie a little more than we had to but it was done because I wanted to make a statement that we are here and we`re serious.

I thought, considering we only have two returners from last season (Kari Rodgers and Cassie Sowers), they really stepped up and didn`t fold under pressure, ... That says a lot for the girls who are young and don`t have much experience.

Cassie is one of those kids who I know for sure something is going to happen for them. She just has that thing.

Cassie always had a unique ability to do more than what`s on the page. In monologues and scene work in acting class, she instinctively understood that she had to do more and she was always fearless in doing so. She has a really active imagination and a wonderful sense of humor.
