It`s no secret, with Griffey out, we`re really searching a bit. We`re trying to see what works.
When pitchers are pitching well, they`re repeating well, physically and mentally. I don`t know about the mental part of it, because I`m not in (Hudson`s) head. But physically, he gets out of sync, and it takes him a few batters to get it back.
If I would have left him in there and Burnitz had hit a home run I`d have probably killed myself.
They were probably the two biggest outs in the game.
I`m not even speculating. I`m just going by what I hear from (reporters).
Sean Casey `s our fifth hitter, and we`re already down six. That makes it tough to come back. They`ve got very good hitters, and they`re not going to miss a lot of mistakes.
That was a big play. With one out, you do everything you can to get to third. You want to run the bases intelligently but aggressively. That`s what he did.
The offense is going to come. It`s not a matter of if, it`s when.
Javy`s come up big for us all year, ... I`m glad he got the opportunity to swing the bat.
(Griffey) is just outstanding. He swung the bat extremely well. I`m not surprised at all. I`m just glad to see him swing healthy.
