My first run was bad. Training between runs was bad. Waiting (for other competitors to finish) was the most nervous I`ve ever been in my life. I skied a slow, conservative run, but it was solid. It was really clean, and I think that`s what won it for me.
A national title means a lot. So I`m coming back on that. It`s great.
I didn`t have much of a social life in high school and was a total nerd. But it was worth it to get here.
I think it of course boosts your confidence when you can - sorry guys - beat your teammates because you know that they are the best in the world as well.

We do these jumps hundreds of times in the water before we go on the snow, so it`s not as dangerous as it may look to spectators.
