He`s reputed to be a top international player, and from what I`ve heard in college circles he`s a player who is loaded with potential. Generally, you find that international players are more fundamentally skilled than players over here, and from what I understand he`s a typical international player in that regard.
I`ve never seen him play, and I don`t know anyone who has. In this day and age of information, who`s seen this kid play?
He played in my Memorial Day Tournament of Champions. He was, by far, the most advanced ninth-grader I`ve ever seen.
It could be the best class since the Fab Five.
Personally, I think he has the coaching ability. A lot of it will depend on his staff. He`ll need to add to his staff an assistant coach who has some connections to urban areas and be able to attract inner-city kids.
He is an ideal player for Richmond. He`s a good high-low post player who can shoot from 3-point range, perfect for the Princeton offense.
No question, the No. 1 overall player is Greg (Oden).
I would be shocked if he`s not a great college player and a future NBA draft pick,
I liked the kid. He was friendly in high school -- I`d see him at ABCD or Nike Camp. Then I heard he`d gone to work for an agent, Dan Fegan. Then he got hooked onto Derrick Caracter. ... I think guys who have an agent-like background have their own interest in mind and are extremely detrimental to these players.
I really like Andy Kennedy. He`s a great guy, but he`s going to have the tag of `interim coach,` which makes it virtually impossible to recruit. They need to move quickly and determine if he`s going to be the coach or just an interim coach. You can`t do recruiting on a permanent basis, because kids aren`t going to make a commitment if they don`t know who they are going to play for.
