That would be a nightmare for me to have to replace Val. Bethany Hart was ready. I know she could have done just as good a job. But I didn`t want to kick Val out. I left it up to her to decide if she could do it. She knew what was at stake, and she came through.
The emotions, you can`t explain them.
I just think that Jean and I are very competitive teammates, but we have a healthy competitive nature between each other. But I feel like the last Olympics, it didn`t really feel like a team.

It`s amazing to be here as a soldier and as a civilian as well. I just hope it lifts the spirits of every soldier out there. It`s a great thing to win a medal for your country.
