We played a good, solid game. There were a lot of things we could`ve done better. But we`re proud that we came away with the win. That`s the bottom line.
That`s what we were talking about in the locker room.
I think the way we handle this win is almost as important as the victory itself,
He`s a Georgia guy and he had an interest in being here. He has fit in very, very well in the locker room. I think the players respect him as a person and a player. He goes out and when he kicks in practice or in games, he just makes his kicks. I think that`s what players want to see. They want to see a guy put it through the uprights, and Todd does that.
They were so supportive and such a big part of our success at home. I get goose bumps thinking about running onto the field at the Georgia Dome.
Everything`s so real now. Every game has significance. Every practice matters. You can`t waste a rep. You don`t get it back now. There`s only so many reps you get during a regular-season week. I think the sense of urgency heightens.
Andy (Reid) knows that Ike knows these things, so he`ll change some things. But a team like Philadelphia never gets away from the things that they do best, and that`s one of the reasons why they are so consistently good.
Michael had a good game. I was holding my breath when Mike was running the ball. In fact, I just let my breath out now.
We`ll be playing in the NFL`s first game this season and hopefully we`ll both be in the last as well.
DeAngelo competed well against one of the premier receivers in the NFL. T.O. had seven catches. You`re not going to shut a guy like that down. But Hall was up for the challenge. He kept him out of the endzone. He stopped him when we had to stop him.
