We just had a little problem with the chain that holds the droop on the right rear. NASCAR didn`t like it the way it was. It wasn`t a big deal. We were trying to fix it and we just didn`t have time.
We stuck to our game plan, even when it was painful at times. We wanted to go test, we just knew it wasn`t time to start that just yet.
(Stewart and his team) are in a good spot right now, very similar to where we`ve been all year.
We were testing too close to an event. We didn`t have time to react once we got the cars back to the shop to make changes of any substance.
Obviously, we`re parked right next to each other in the garage,
It`s very cool and there is a lot of tradition here and I love to come here. I really like Darlington and Charlotte and tracks like that better, but I`d really love to win at Indianapolis. I`d like to win and go through all the stuff of kissing the bricks (at the finish line) and all that stuff and roll on.
Robbie has been a huge asset to me more so than anything else with the race car. He`s a very calming individual and he has a good sense about him and he has been through a championship chase.
His bell has definitely been rung. That was a pretty hard hit that he took out there.
It will by the time we`re done today.
Does it matter? Once we get to Loudon (N.H.) it basically starts over at zero . So I`m really not concerned about points. As long as we stay in the top 10, that`s all we need.
