Andy Reid Quotes

Andy Reid

He feels pretty good. He`s running around good. He hasn`t had a lot of pain in there.

It was an opportunity to see the young guys perform. But I wasn`t very happy with the performance. It wasn`t very good.

Lamar is a big back with good speed and quickness. He also has the ability to catch the ball which will help him in this offense. He`s a talented, young running back who should be a good compliment to the rest of the backs on this team. We`re look forward to getting him into Philadelphia and onto the practice field this week.

I expect them to step up and do a nice job. I always tell them that you just focus in on your fundamentals and until you get the feel of it, you focus in on that football, run the routes the right way and you will be fine.

I`ve said that from the beginning. Both of them are good people.

It`s unfortunate that happened. That`s no excuse. Absolutely no excuse.

We liked him as a defensive end coming out. He played linebacker in Pittsburgh and we asked him if he was interested in putting his hand down and playing defensive end again and he liked that. We thought he was a heck of a player coming out of Florida State.

They came in and they took care of what they could control. ... I`ve got a veteran group that is a pretty good example to the other guys on how to do this thing.

First thing is, he is a great kid. He worked so hard in the offseason to get that thing back and he came (into camp) in phenomenal shape. We were looking forward to getting him back in there and for that to happen, your heart just goes out to the guy.

We`ll see how it goes. Brian is our primary running back, but we will utilize (Gordon`s) talents as we go. We`ll give Lamar a chance to get acclimated, and we`ll see how he progresses.
