It was painful to run. But I felt like I could have finished the game.
That`s good to hear, ... I want to focus on my defense. Getting hits, I`m not worried about it. If they come, they come.
I don`t think it`s anything that will keep me out for an extended period of time. Hopefully, it`s just (today) and that`s it.
I hate watching baseball, ... I hate it. It`s just not any fun. I`d rather be out there playing. I`m constantly walking up (to the clubhouse) or going somewhere. When I`m not playing, I don`t feel like I`m part of the team. I try to stay in the game and try to yell, but it`s just hard.
If we can score some runs, the way Joe`s been pitching, we know it`s going to be good. I don`t know what it is, we try to get runs for the guy. Hopefully, as time goes on, he`ll get more and more, and he`ll keep doing what he`s doing.
It`s way better. Before I could barely walk, so to be hitting, that`s big.
That`s big for me, any time I go (opposite field) it`s big, especially on a changeup, ... It`s a good feeling. ... My goal this year was to stay as even as possible. It`s easier said than done. I feel like my swing is where it needs to be. I can go the opposite way and turn on the ball in.
We have to stay on it. We can`t go into a skid like we were. There`s no room for laying back or getting complacent. We have to play this way, and the way we did for two months. We can`t think `we`re back.` We`re playing the way we should.
With Richie going out, a lot of people thought it would hurt us. But we have a lot of guys who can shut them down. It was impressive. We know if we have a guy hit, we have somebody else who can step up and get the job done.
Joe should definitely be near the top of the list as far as guys being considered. It`s not his fault we don`t score a bunch of runs for him. He could have 15 wins.
